MALÅ Sales Executive

As Sales Executive at Guideline Geo Americas, you will be responsible for driving sales to existing and new customers across the United States. Your focus initially will be on Ground Penetrating Radar solutions via our world-renowned brand MALÅ to the Utility Locating industry. MALÅ has been a global leader for many years and is known for high data quality, ruggedness and ease-of-use. This position will be based in either our Summerville, South Carolina office or our Golden, Colorado office, however the right candidate can also be based from other locations in the US.

Job Overview

As Sales Executive at Guideline Geo Americas, you will be responsible for driving sales to existing and new customers across the United States. Your focus initially will be on Ground Penetrating Radar solutions via our world-renowned brand MALÅ to the Utility Locating industry. MALÅ has been a global leader for many years and is known for high data quality, ruggedness and ease-of-use.

This position is within a small team where it is key to be a self-starter and to work well with your colleagues. It will include potentially extensive travel for conferences, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and other Guideline Geo events.

Responsibilities and Duties

Among a wide range of duties, the key activities include:

  • Identify, contact and create relationships with a broad range of customers, understanding their requirements and promote MALÅ products, services and solutions.
  • Build a strong pipeline from these generated leads, propose solutions which solve the customer’s problems and negotiate agreements
  • Be active in our marketing initiatives in order to maximize market awareness and generate new leads
  • Work with and expand opportunities with existing accounts
  • Assisting customers by providing advice and technical expertise on equipment.
  • Feeding back information and ideas from the marketplace to the management teams to help to define and prioritize development roadmaps from an end-user perspective.

Qualifications

As a Sales Executive, demonstrable experience is just as important as academic qualifications. Suitable candidates would, preferably, have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology, engineering or some other related technical field or a bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing with the appropriate technical skillset
  • Solid and documented successful sales experience from similar technology and/or relevant market segments
  • Must be an excellent communicator, able to learn the technical hardware and software solutions in order to be able to professionally demonstrate and handle questions from customers and prospects
  • Experience from CRM systems and how to utilize these tools effectively for sales and marketing outcomes
  • Must be self-motivated and take initiatives proactively, able to take an action from idea through development and implementation
  • Travel will be a necessity, confidence in travelling alone to diverse locations will be essential (must have passport or ability to obtain a passport).
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others are a necessity.

Location

Guideline Geo prefers a successful candidate to be based in either our Summerville, South Carolina office or our Golden, Colorado office, however the right candidate can also be based from other locations in the US.
