Free Hardware License Upgrade for ABEM Terrameter LS 2 Basic Instruments

To mark ABEM’s 100th birthday, all ABEM Terrameter LS 2 instruments that are running a Basic hardware license will benefit from increased transmitter specifications at no extra cost. And, best of all, we are offering this gift to existing LS 2 customers as well as those making new purchases.

The ABEM Terrameter LS 2 Basic 2/48 model has an upper limit on output current of 1.0 A. From November 9th this limit will increase by 50% to 1.5 A, allowing access to more current on entry-level resistivity imaging systems.

All new Basic LS 2 instruments shipped on or after the 9th November will have the new specifications enabled. For existing customers, simply contact your local Guideline Geo representative or support@guidelinegeo.com  and provide the serial number of your instrument to have the hardware license upgraded. Once arranged with our representative, the upgrade can be completed remotely from the License tab of the instrument, either over the internet or by uploading a new license file via USB.
